In 2009 I got the unique opportunity to photograph the disused Airship Shed 1 in Cardington, Bedfordshire. Originally built as part of the 1930's Imperial Airship Scheme to house the enormous R101, it had since fallen into disrepair, but had a unique beauty; it's since been repaired.
